I've never had Dim Sum before, is this a good place to try?
It depends. If you are new to Dim Sum it's definitely a good place to be introduced to a few things. However, There are FAR better places in the city, but in those you will encounter a bit of a language barrier and would be better off if you went with a friend who might know what to order. Places like Ocean Palace and even Fungs are both better and cheaper than this place.

Amazing dim sum! Everything we ordered was fantastic and freshly prepared from scratch. There are plenty of vegetarian/vegan options as well. The menu is not as extensive as many dim sum places, but every item we ordered was delicious. The green beans were exceptionally good! The owner and wait staff were very attentive and friendly. So nice!

This review is in light of their pick up times. Said order would be ready in 15, order took 30 mins. Why lie? Just give me an honest pick up time. There's absolutely no business right now. Poor service

Enjoyed a lovely dinner at One Dim Sum tonight! I read some really stellar reviews before checking them out and wasn't disappointed. Everything was made fresh and you can taste the difference in every bite. Lots of great choices and flavor combinations. Would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a great Dim Sum experience. Can't wait to come back & try more dishes. Especially the duck!

Today was my second time going, and I’m very pleased with this restaurant. During the first visit, there was a lot of waiting - before seating, ordering food, and receiving food. It was clear that they were short staffed and had kinks to work out with operations. However, the food was very impressive. This time, we arrived at open and the service experience has been greatly improved. Everything we ordered was good or great! I’m so grateful there is finally a legit dim sum place in Houston. There is no doubt we will be back many times in the future!

I had high hopes but they were quickly dashed. The food had nice presentation, but that was it. The food had little to no flavor at all which is odd for Asian cuisine. The mushroom and black caviar dumplings had fish inside it which wasn't even on the description. It made me and my date nauseous. The sparerib and garlic was very fatty and I couldn't find any meat that I wanted to eat and very little garlic flavor at all.
